WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO BE A HIGHLY SENSITIVE PERSON?

There is a trait called, sensory-processing sensitivity that highly sensitive people have. Elaine Aron, Ph.D., discovered and described this trait. She first started studying people who appeared to be more sensitive towards specific things in their surroundings. People who have sensory-processing sensitivity, even observe subtle differences around them which people without this trait don’t do. Highly sensitive people aren’t usually fond of loud noises or bright lights around them. They may avoid watching shows and movies that contain violence and they may carve alone time in busy, restless days just to not feel completely frazzled. According to Aron, usually, people who are highly sensitive may be effortlessly overwhelmed specifically when they are face to face with an intense stimulus.
